Red Truck

I snapped some polaroids this past weekend...I saw this red truck in the parking lot and it reminds me a bit of an old truck my grandfather used to drive. His of course wasn't as shiny or nice, but somehow that makes it better.

Actually just for fun, here is a picture of my gramps with my little brother from back in the day (I'm in the background). Obviously a cool grandpa, just look at those shades!

New Myspace Layout

I finally got around to redesigning my myspace layout. It now features one of my recent illustrations...my girl wearing this dress from the Gucci Spring 2008 collection...

Saturday Afternoon Polaroids

Tim and I took Sophie out east this weekend, you know so she could run around and do beagle things...like play fetch, chase cats, squirrels, and howl at birds that she can't quite reach despite her best efforts to climb trees (trust me, the dog can CLIMB!). Here are a couple polaroids I took while I was outside getting a kick out of her antics:

so long sweet summer journal pages

I just had my last big summer bash out in the Hamptons this past weekend. Back in the city I had time to reflect on the fall collections and iron out the details of my fall wardrobe prospects. To further complicate matters, the focus is on fashion week, so my mind is already in September. Summer is officially over for me, for better or worse. Summer is my favorite season, but I have a sore throat, my mind has wandered into fall territory, so with the exception of a few end of summer sample sales it is highly unlikely that I will be enjoying very much of the end of the season. Scorin cheap(er) designer duds does put a smile on my face, but it isn't enough to bring my summer back to life. Anyway, this is my ode to the vintage beach babe that existed in the era before Baywatch...

Kicking Back Journal Page

one of my college cross country coaches used to say "you can catch your breath at halftime". it was such a funny thing to say given that there is no half time when you're running a race. life isn't a race, although, it can feel like it sometimes. i feel like time is flying. i don't feel 25, but somehow i got here. what the hell am i doing? damn that quarter life crisis! sigh, sometimes i feel like i just need to kick back, relax, and take it all in.

Polaroids

I just bought a Polaroid camera, so on a walk this afternoon I decided to test it out. I'm still getting acclimated with the camera (I haven't used a polaroid camera since I was a kid), but here are some unexpectedly decent shots:
