Lino-Cut Block Print Mittens Christmas Card

This is my third year making my own Christmas cards using lino-cut block printing designs. This year I opted to design some cozy knit mittens. I printed them by hand with a silvery blue metallic ink on red card stock. Here is the final product:

Perfect Blue Buildings

I've been really inspired by the clean lines found in the New York City skyline lately. I took this photo on a quick late afternoon walk to Starbucks this weekend, and I really liked the simplicity of it. Maybe I have turned to architecture for inspiration because everything in nature seems to be brown, bare, and just unappealing. (Spring should hurry up and get here, or Mother Nature should spice things up a bit and snow a snowman type of snow already!)Right now I'm working on some weekly challenge entries, and some personal work that I will share with you soon!

Self Portrait Challenge: What I Wear

This week (yesterday in fact), I wore blue tights:

I've been playing around with colored tights. Purple tights are my favorite (that was last week), so I thought I would try something new. I was really daring because I wore this to work at my white shoe firm here in Manhattan. I figured, you can wear a bright colored sweater why not tights? I pulled it off! It was fun, what color should I try next?!
