Handmade Polymer Clay Christmas Ornaments

Last year I participated in a handmade Christmas ornament swap, and I really loved the ornaments I made. I was sad to give them away, so this year I decided to recreate the birds from last year. If I get some more black & red clay I will recreate my adorable penguin and & polar bear (because they were my favorite). Here is a peak at this year's polymer ornaments:

Handmade Polymer Clay Christmas Ornaments

Today I completed a set of various handmade Christmas ornaments. I made the ornaments out of polymer clay and started shaping whatever came to my head. I kept getting more & more ideas for ornaments, so I'll probably make a few more before Christmas. These are going to be shipped out to holiday ornament swap partners. After flipping through the Holiday Ornament Swap flickr group, I'm so excited about what might me arriving in my mailbox! My tree is going to look fabulous this year!



Now all I have to do is set my tree up up! :)

Peacock Drawing

This is a peacock drawing I'm working on right now. It is obviously still in the beginning stages. The pencil on the taupe colored paper camoflauges the bird. under normal circumstances the (male) peacock stands out, so i thought this was a good fit for this week's topic

Inspire Me Thursday: World Traveler

This week is just a quick one. I did a Paris drawing not too long ago, and I thought about just finishing it and using it for this but that felt a bit like cheating. I think I took a less obvious approach to this topic. I am using this simple painting as a background to one of my journal pages. Here it is:
