Today It Snowed

Why winter decided to pummel NYC just when we were preparing for the end of February and the beginning of SPRING I will never know...









I'm glad I snapped these photos this morning (even though it was still snowing), because it RAINED and now there is only a slushy mess.




(Also, there was a shooting RIGHT outside my building, they haven't caught the guy, and even though I typically don't carry thousands of dollars (or even hundreds of dollars), I am terrified to leave...snow or no snow. Ahhh, just another day at the office. :))

Gucci Spring 2008

Oh how I wish Spring was here! She is wearing a dress from Gucci's Spring 2008 Collection. Love the tiny bit of yellow and the large graphic flower! Now if only I could afford to buy this dress myself...hmm

Saturday Afternoon Polaroids

Tim and I took Sophie out east this weekend, you know so she could run around and do beagle things...like play fetch, chase cats, squirrels, and howl at birds that she can't quite reach despite her best efforts to climb trees (trust me, the dog can CLIMB!). Perfect Blue Buildings

I've been really inspired by the clean lines found in the New York City skyline lately. I took this photo on a quick late afternoon walk to Starbucks this weekend, and I really liked the simplicity of it. Maybe I have turned to architecture for inspiration because everything in nature seems to be brown, bare, and just unappealing. (Spring should hurry up and get here, or Mother Nature should spice things up a bit and snow a snowman type of snow already!)Right now I'm working on some weekly challenge entries, and some personal work that I will share with you soon!

Tulip Time

What is with all the rain today in NYC? I suppose it is like that old saying, February showers bring May flowers--or whatever. This drawing was inspired by my Dutch heritage & my love for Tulips (oh aaannnd my wish for the cold rain to go away!).
